Everyone knows what is typically Belgian. Or do they? Visit the BELvue to gain a better understanding of today's Belgium in a contemporary and original way. Discover the country's history through seven themes in seven rooms: democracy, prosperity, solidarity, pluralism, migration, language and Europe. Look at news clips, posters, charts or graphs and listen to contemporary testimonies. Or feel an object and guess what it is.
Be sure to take a look at the gallery, with over 200 objects depicting the material memory of Belgium. Are you a lover of coffee filters, the electric fryer, or Val Saint-Lambert crystal vases? Or do you prefer vases from Van Beirendonck, Delvaux or Van Severen? Football fanatics are also in for a treat with a ball signed by the Red Devils. It’s a collection with a high Belgium content!
You can explore the BELvue entirely on your own. Would you like more information? Access the digital audio guide online, or choose a guided visit. We regularly organise thematic and evening tours. Or how about a virtual visit from the comfort of your living room?
Immerse yourself in the heart of the museum's permanent exhibition with our virtual tour. You will discover our seven rooms and our gallery of 200 Belgian objects as if you were there! You can also find out more about eight objects or themes that are particularly important to us.
Each colour equals a language:

You can choose between two routes, available in different languages (NL, FR, DE, EN, IT). The 'Rooms' route guides you through the seven thematic rooms. The 'Corridors' route takes you to thirteen unmissable objects in our gallery.
Combining both routes is also possible.
